We can't all dress to Tudor sensibilities, can we?
I mean, come on. Imagine I turned up in breeches, would historically incorrect ones really be worse than the real deal?

Incorrect ones would be better, really.
You wouldn't wear a codpiece three or more sizes too big for you.
I think it was more the contrast between the person in Tudor dress and everyone else in clubbing wear.

Fine. No codpieces. No breeches. No Tudor costumes.
You might not get me in clubbing wear either, though.
[ Mainly because he hasn't actually gone clubbing for ages (pubs don't count). He's an old, grumpy man, okay. ]

Oh, come on. You'd look fantastic in a good pair of breeches and hose. You've got the legs for it.
... men's clubbing wear is boring, to be honest. Just a bunch of tight jeans and shiny shirts.
She's amazing, keep teasing him, Kathy!

The legs, maybe, but not the stature. Tight jeans help that particular problem slightly better.
Oh, she will.

That's what heeled shoes are for!
But, well, if you want to wear tight jeans, I'm not about to complain. Maybe I should take you shopping.

Are you saying there's a problem with my taste in jeans, Katherine?

Not necessarily!
They do look quite good on you. I've never minded the view.
But, well. I'm sure I could make you look even better!
